• In 1975, FCC introduced and patented the first American-made carbon/oxygen probe to the U.S. heat treating market.

• During 1981-1986, FCC conducted an extensive R&D program on the accuracy and reliability of carbon/oxygen probes, and based on the results, the Accucarb® Carbon/Oxygen Probe Series was developed. These probes are now patented in the U.S.A., Europe and Japan.
